The cheers are still echoing across Cameroon and within the halls of Nervtek! We are incredibly proud to announce a monumental achievement that has placed Cameroon, and specifically our innovation, at the forefront of African technology.
The grand finale, held on February 10, 2026, at the MTN Group headquarters in Johannesburg, South Africa, saw our very own program manager Engr. Arnaud Njita brilliantly represent Nervtek and Cameroon, clinching the top spot for the second consecutive year for our nation.

The nTron STEM Kit is not just a product; it’s a mission. Born from a commitment to sustainability and education, transforming plastic waste into engaging, educational toys. These kits make science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) accessible and exciting for students, fostering a new generation of African innovators. This victory is a resounding validation of that mission.

Arnaud Njita, reflecting on this incredible journey, shared: “Winning the Africa PachiPanda Challenge has been an incredibly meaningful experience. We plan to reinvest in our product, the nTron STEM Kit, improving its efficiency, scalability, and reach to touch even more lives across the continent. Our ultimate goal is to empower the next generation of innovators and technology leaders to help solve Africa’s most pressing challenges.”

This year’s PachiPanda Challenge showcased the immense talent thriving in Cameroon. Not only did Arnaud secure 1st place, but Cameroon also celebrated a 3rd place finish with the AgriCheck project, presented by Bill Agha, which provides vital information to farmers navigating climatic uncertainties. Our national finalist and proud ambassador, Embom Jemima, also played a crucial role in representing Cameroon’s innovative spirit.
This consecutive recognition underscores the creativity, determination, and growing strength of Cameroon’s local tech ecosystem—an ecosystem increasingly driven by sustainable innovation.
The PachiPanda Challenge, organized by MTN in partnership with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), invites young African innovators aged 18 to 35 to propose technological solutions that enhance community resilience to climate change. We extend our deepest gratitude to MTN Cameroon for their unwavering support, mentorship, and for providing a platform that amplifies African ingenuity on a continental scale. Their commitment, as expressed by Wanda Matandela, General Director of MTN Cameroon, truly empowers impactful solutions.

While the trophies and prize money (3 million FCFA for 1st place!) are significant, the true victory lies in the accelerated development and deployment opportunities this platform provides. Nervtek is energized, focused, and ready to scale the nTron STEM Kit to even more communities across Africa.
This win is a testament to the power of teamwork, perseverance, and a shared vision for a sustainable, technologically advanced future for our continent. From our humble beginnings in Buea, Nervtek is now positioned to make an even greater impact, inspiring resilience, driving innovation, and shaping a brighter future for all.
